Go Go Power Rangers! Based off the popular series from the 1990’s, this time we get a movie update. From the start of the film, we are introduced to the rangers, individually and together in not one but two car chases! Yep, they both end in complete 1980’s A-Team action only it looks like 2017.
Our rangers are given powers and now can do super human stuff, like jump 80 plus feet in a single leap. The Rangers find out they are the power rangers and must protect the world or town.
The mad villain Rita Repulsa is the one they must defend the world or town from! Haha haha (in my evil laugh voice).
And so yes I fell asleep right about there. The other part I started to nod was become the red ranger and his dad. It felt forced and kind of unbelievable a father after 3 weeks would still be that angry at his son for having to do detention instead of football. But oh well, it’s a family movie targeted at high schoolers of the next generation!
I did enjoy this movie for some parts of it. Some of the acting runs a bit rough but nothing compared to a Twilight movie with K Stew. No the action and acting work great. I think to some extent it’s good family predictable fun and it really doesn’t try and hurt anyone. I can see this movie becoming well liked by people wanting quality non offensive action nostalgia fun.
3.5 Snores out of 5 Snores. I didn’t really care to watch the ending because I knew what was gonna happen. Sadly, Rita Repulsa as a villain didn’t interest me.
