I was down for about 70 percent of this movie. Until it turned all what the hell? Spoiler alert!
First off I want to say I think all the actors in this movie are terrific. I really hope Zoe Kravitz and Emile Hirsch can get better scripts. They have such great star power. It’s just why would you sign on for a movie you’re not gonna watch? The problem comes when the script turns on the audience into something nobody wants to see. What a shame!
So Vincent (Emilie Hirsch) is in a muscle car and waiting for something. that’s when Roxxy (Zoe Kravitz) shows up and gets hit by a car in her car. A man named Sugar gets out and starts yelling at her “Where’s my money?” Vincent jumps in and saves her. They both drive out of the city and to a farm where his brother and wife lives.
The two hide out and start working in the town. Vincent’s brother is hated by some of the locals and gets his butt kicked. this same story goes on for about 70 percent of the film. Then the day we all knew was coming… Sugar finds both of them living in this small town. Not really sure how but I guess he has spider senses? Vincent calls on his landline to warn but it’s too late. Look the movie crosses some viewer boundaries at this point.
So all the main characters die? The bother and his wife, Vincent? Then at the end Roxxy goes all John Wick? Huh? So the audience is expected to believe Roxxy tied up with 3 other people who can’t save anyone is now a John Wick type killer? She now has the ability to be a dead shot killer? PLEASE!!!!
Final Snore: I can’t recommend this movie. That being said I’m changing my rating system from snores to thumbs. This get’s a thumbs down way down for how disrespectful it is to it’s audience. The last 30 minutes of this move… What a piece of trash. You had me until you disrespected me! Ugh what a dumb movie!
