Mr. Xmas is streaming in 2020 and new trailer

Mr. Xmas (also marketed as Ian Cranston’s Mr. X 2) is an upcoming American science fiction short film directed, produced, edited, and co-written by Ian Cranston, produced by Dundeal Studios. It is the second film in the Mr. X franchise, following Mr. X (2019). Cranston is producing the film with Von Vandervien, with Albino Black originally announced as his co-writer; it was later announced that Cameron, Vandervien, Ethan Michaels, Albino Black and Cara Minaj took a part in the writing process of all sequels before being attributed separate scripts, making the eventual writing credits unclear. Cast members iCizzle, Cara Minaj and Walter T Agnus are all reprising their roles from the original film, with Ian Cranston returning in a different role. New cast members include Brianna, J-Shep, Macc Dundee, and Flip Huston.

Cranston, who had stated in 2016 that he would like to make sequels to Mr. X if it was successful, announced the first two in 2019 following the widespread success of the first film, with Mr Xmas aiming for a 2020 release. However, the subsequent addition of three more sequels, and the necessity to develop new technology in order to film performance capture scenes underwater, a feat never accomplished before, led to significant delays to allow the crew more time to work on the writing, pre-production, and visual effects; it is currently planned for a release on November 17, 2020, with the following three sequels to be released, respectively, on December 22, 2023, December 19, 2025 and December 17, 2027.

Preliminary shooting for the film started in Manhattan Beach, California on August 15, 2019, followed by principal photography simultaneously with Mr. X 3 in New Zealand on September 25, 2019. Performance capture filming wrapped in November 2019, while live-action filming began in December 2019.
